December 23, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 6226 West Airport Boulevard about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 22).

The suspect, Rafael Sincere Aceves (H/m, 20), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District Court.  A booking photo of Aceves is attached to this news release.

He is accused in the shooting of his father, Rafael Aceves, 40.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Stucky reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the residence at the above address and were advised that Mr. Aceves was shot in the chest by his son.  Paramedics transported Aceves to an area hospital in stable condition.  The suspect was questioned, taken into custody and subsequently charged in the shooting.
