Incident at 11800 Alief Clodine

February 4, 2006 -- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11800 Alief Clodine around 6:15 a.m. today (Feb. 4).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Officers P.J. Guerrero and J. Selvera reported:

HPD officers on routine patrol saw smoke coming from under a bridge and went to investigate. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a male in his late teens to mid twenties on fire. The fire was extinguished by responding HFD firefighters who arrived minutes later. The victim appears to have been shot at another location, possibly Alief Village Drive and Alief Clodine, and dragged to the bridge. There was no identification on the body.

Investigation into Stabbing at 5998 Renwick Drive

December 20, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 5998 Renwick Drive about 8 a.m. on Saturday (December 18).

The victim, Franco Zapata, 48, was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives J. De La Torre and A. Carroll reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported person down call at in a business parking lot at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found Mr. Zapata lying on the ground suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest, back and abdomen.

At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or motive in this case.
