December 14, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man at 10703 Royal Pine Drive about 11:30 p.m. on December 2.

The suspect, Ismael Flores (H/m, 46), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a weapon and burglary of a building in the 232nd State District Court.  He is accused in the shooting of Michael Almodovar, 48, who was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives F. Lee and V. Habukiha reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a duplex at the above address and were told Mr. Almodovar was shot multiple times by a suspect who fled the scene.  Almodovar was transported to a hospital.

Further investigation identified Flores as the suspect in this case and he is currently at large.
