December 2, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1700 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) that occurred about 6:40 p.m. on Wednesday (December 1).  

The identity of the victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Smith and Detective M. Estep reported:  

Th victim was driving his vehicle northbound on the freeway near the above address when he was shot through the front driver's side window.  The victim was able to pull to the shoulder of the freeway before he lost consciousness. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.  The unknown suspect(s) continued northbound on the freeway.  

At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or vehicle description.
