April 29, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8700 Howard Drive about 4:25 a.m. today.  

The identity of the male victim, 21, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer J. Johnson reported:  

The driver of a white Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling eastbound near the above address when the passenger (victim) exited the vehicle while it was still in motion.  The victim struck the concrete and was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics. 

The female driver, 21, of the Tahoe remained at the scene.  She was questioned and released following a blood draw.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
