Suspect Arrested, Charged in Stabbing Investigation at 8565 West Sam Houston Parkway South
April 19, 2021 - Charges have been filed against one suspect arrested in the stabbing investigation of a man at 8565 West Sam Houston Parkway South that occurred about 4 p.m. on Saturday (April 17).
The suspect, Brandi Ashley King (b/f, 35), is charged with misdemeanor assault of a family member and criminal mischief in Harris County Criminal Court #5. A booking photo of King is attached to this news release.
The victim, James Williams, 36, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective L. Thornton reported:
Officers responded to an assault in-progress call at the apartment complex at the above address and observed two male victims with injuries. One of the men, Mr. Williams, was transported to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. The other man, Derell Crosby, 37, was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Investigators learned the incident began as a domestic dispute between Crosby and his common-law wife, King. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, King was arrested and charged for her involvement in the incident. The investigation is ongoing to determine if anyone else will be charged.
