April 2, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the assault of a man at 9708 West Bellfort Street about 6:40 p.m. on Thursday (April 1).  

The victim, Brice Tolliver, 26, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives M. Althaus and Z. Brumley reported:  

Mr. Tolliver and a woman were sitting in a vehicle at a gas station at the above address and got into an argument.  A preliminary investigation indicated Tolliver had exited the vehicle and was hanging on the door of the vehicle when the woman began driving in reverse at a high speed, knocking off the driver-side door and pinning Tolliver against a pole.  The woman then fled in the vehicle in an unknown direction.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Tolliver to the hospital with a broken leg.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
