October 13 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1500 Brittmoore Road that occurred about 5:15 p.m. on Monday (October 12).

The male victim, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer N. Luu reported:

The victim, driving a silver Honda Civic, failed to yield the right of way while leaving a stop sign at the intersection of Timber Oak Lane and Brittmoore Road.  He pulled in front of a blue 18-wheeler traveling southbound at the above address and was struck by the tractor-trailer.  The Honda's driver died at the scene.  The 18-wheeler's driver was not injured.

The investigation is continuing.
