Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1000 North Sam Houston Parkway West
October 13 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1000 North Sam Houston Parkway West service road that occurred about 12:55 p.m. on Monday (October 12).
The victim, Carl Somerville, 21, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives T. Tyler and B. Evans reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a drive-by shooting at the above address. Further investigation determined Mr. Somerville was a passenger in his girlfriend's Mitsubishi Outlander when the driver of a white Chevrolet Cruze fired multiple gunshots into the Mitsubishi, striking Somerville multiple times.
The driver of the Chevrolet then fled. He is described only as a black male in his early to mid-twenties.
