October 12 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3827 Liberty Road that occurred about 7:55 p.m. on Friday (October 9).

The victim, Vernon Harvey, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Collier and J. Stroble reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a pool hall at the above address.  A witness reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a crowd running from the scene.  The witness then found Mr. Harvey lying on the ground inside the pool hall suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  

None of the individuals who may have witnessed the shooting remained at the scene and there is no known suspect(s) or motive.
