October 9, 2020 - Houston police have learned the identity and cause of death of a person found deceased at 3030 Elmside Drive about 12:25 a.m. on Tuesday (October 6).

The victim has been identified as Monica Roberts, 58, of Houston.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer V. Garcia reported:

Witnesses found Ms. Roberts lying in an apartment complex parking lot at the above address.  There were no obvious signs of trauma to Roberts however evidence at the scene indicated, at that time, she may have been struck by a vehicle.  

Further investigation and an autopsy conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined Roberts suffered a medical emergency and was not the victim of a hit and run crash.
