November 20, 2020 - The fatal shooting of a man at 2021 Wilcrest Drive that occurred about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday (November 19) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.  

The identity of the victim, in his 30s, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Heaverlo and M. Perez reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment at the above address and found the male victim.  He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

According to witnesses, the male entered the apartment with multiple weapons and threatened to harm the occupants inside.  Fearing for their safety, one of the residents shot the suspect.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
