November 3, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male that occurred at 5880 Ranchester Drive about 7:55 p.m. on Monday (October 3).

The victim, 14, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer K. Saulsberry reported:

A group of males was hanging out in the parking lot at the above address when another group of males approached them.  The two groups got into a physical altercation, which escalated when several gunshots were fired by an unknown suspect.  The victim, who was a bystander, was struck in the left leg.  Paramedics transported him to the hospital. 

The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
