Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 9550 Long Point Road
November 2, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a juvenile female at 9550 Long Point Road about 6:20 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 31).
The suspect, Adrian Liggins (b/m, 39), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 338th State District Court. A booking photo of Liggins is attached to this news release.
The victim, 12, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers H. Martinez and Z. Brumley reported:
Liggins was showing a gun to a minor inside an apartment at the above address and accidently discharged it, striking another juvenile (victim) inside the apartment. Officers arrived and detained Liggins in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Paramedics transported the female victim to an area hospital.
Liggins was arrested and subsequently charged.
