November 2, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 4670 Telephone Road about 12:05 a.m. today (November 2).  

The victim, Melvin Pratt, 38, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Ferrell and J. Roberts reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in a parking lot at the above address and found Mr. Pratt had been shot in the chest.  A preliminary investigation indicated the shooting was likely drug related, as narcotics were recovered at the scene.  Paramedics responded to the scene and transported Pratt to the hospital.
