November 2, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7810 Hammerly Boulevard about 1 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 31).

The victim, Sergio Mejia, 29, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Barrow and J. Caten reported:

Officers learned a shooting occurred following an altercation outside the sports bar at the above address.  Mr. Mejia was struck one time in the chest and then transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. 

The suspect, described as a Hispanic female, fled the scene on foot.  Officers were advised of her possible identity and are following up on leads in the case.
