Surveillance Video/Photo Released in Fatal Shooting at 10298 East Freeway
March 24, 2020 - Houston police have released surveillance video and a surveillance photo of a vehicle involved in the fatal shooting of a woman at 10298 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) service road about 8:35 p.m. on Sunday (March 22).
The victim, Teasia Woods, 29, was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Sharp and K. Fregia reported:
Ms. Woods met with the suspect, who was driving a white Hyundai Genesis, at the above address. When Woods entered the Hyundai, the suspect suddenly drove away. The suspect drove at a high rate of speed eastbound on the East Freeway service road before turning southbound on Mercury Drive.
Witnesses observed Woods fall out of the passenger side of the Hyundai onto the roadway. It was determined she had been shot and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she died.
