Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 4710 Oakside Drive
March 16, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a male at 4710 Oakside Drive about 2 a.m. on Saturday (March 14).
The suspect, Michael Allen (b/m, 32), is charged with felon in possession of a weapon in the 263rd State District Court. A booking photo of Allen is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Escobar and M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim deceased in the driveway. Witnesses stated the victim got into a physical altercation with two males earlier and then left the location in his truck. The victim returned a short time later and confronted Allen, who was standing in the garage. Both began shooting at each other and the victim was struck several times. Allen was arrested at the scene and charged for his role in the shooting.
