Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3700 Liberty Road
June 30, 2020 - A man critically injured in a hit-and-run crash at 3700 Liberty Road about 12:30 a.m. on June 20 has died.
The identity of the victim, 63, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Crisler reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing Liberty Road when he was struck by a tan Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), believed to be either a GMC Yukon or a Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver fled and did not stop to render assistance.
Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. Doctors pronounced him deceased today (June 30).
The driver of the SUV is believed to be a Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s.
