Investigation into Shooting at 3100 Stonewall Street
June 29, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 3100 Stonewall Street about 3:15 a.m. on Saturday (June 27).
The victim, Ellis Johnson, 37, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers V. Habukiha and C. Bowling reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Johnson with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body.
Witnesses told the officers Johnson and a known suspect got into a verbal altercation, which escalated when the suspect grabbed a rifle from his vehicle and shot Johnson. The suspect then left the fled the scene.
