Investigation into Fatal Crash at 500 Edgebrook Drive
June 22, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 500 Edgebrook Drive about 3:55 p.m. last Friday (June 19).
The identity of the male victim, 21, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Gonzales and Officer C. Dinh reported:
The victim was operating a white and black Suzuki GSZ600 motorcycle northbound on Edgebrook Drive when the driver of a white Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck, traveling southbound on Edgebrook, failed to yield the right of way, turned left in front of the motorcycle and struck the victim.
Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The male driver, 62, of the Chevrolet did not show signs of intoxication and was questioned and released. The investigation is continuing.
