Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7600 West F.M. 1960 Road
June 22, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7600 West F.M. 1960 Road about 1:35 a.m. on Sunday (June 21).
The identity of the male victim, 34, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer J. Hill reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the main lanes of the roadway at the above address - not in a crosswalk - when he was struck by a gray Ford E-150 van traveling eastbound on F.M. 1960. The driver of the van stopped and called police. Officers arrived on scene and attempted to render first aid to the victim, but he was declared deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the van did not show any signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
