Investigation into Fatal Crash at 14100 North Freeway
June 17, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 14100 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road about 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday (June 16).
The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Warhol and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:
According to witnesses, there was a stalled vehicle in the roadway with its hazard lights on at the above address. The driver of a gray Ford Freestyle slowed down behind the stalled vehicle, however, the driver (victim) of a red Harley Davidson motorcycle failed to control his speed and struck the back of the Ford.
The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is continuing.
