Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12200 South Gessner Drive
June 10, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 12200 South Gessener Drive about 5:20 a.m. today.
The identity of the male victim, 85, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Maness and Officer M. Tamez reported:
The victim, 85, was walking west on Candle Street and crossing South Gessner when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model, possibly traveling south on South Gessner. The suspect vehicle then fled without stopping to provide assistance. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
