Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3111 Anita Street
July 31, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3111 Anita Street about 10:50 p.m. on Thursday (July 30).
The victim's identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:
HPD patrol officers were dispatched to a reported shooting at the above address. Upon arrival, they found an open window and saw the victim deceased inside. He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. HPD Homicide detectives responded to the scene and found a gun near the victim. Witnesses reported hearing two separate gunshots from inside the residence.
At this time, there are no known suspects.
