July 30, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6700 Fondren Road about 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday (July 29).  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Benavidez and Officer J. Crisler reported:  

The driver of a gray NIssan Maxima was traveling southbound near the above address when she struck the victim, who was crossing the street where a crosswalk was not provided.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.  The female driver, 24, remained at the scene.  She showed no signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
