July 27, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6600 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 7:45 p.m. on Sunday (July 26).  

The identity of the male victim, 49, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Reinoso and Officer E. Morgado reported:  

The victim was operating a red Honda CR1000 motorcycle northbound at the above address.  While traveling only on the front tire, he struck the rear of a silver Ford Fusion, traveling westbound, that had just left a stop sign at the intersection of Deippe Street and MLK Boulevard.  The victim was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.  The driver of the Fusion remained at the scene.  

The investigation is continuing.
