Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5200 Airport Boulevard
January 29, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 5200 Airport Boulevard. about 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday (January 28).
The identity of the female victim, 49, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Warhol and Officer A. Sulaiman reported:
The victim was driving a red Dodge Caravan eastbound on Airport when she failed to drive in a single lane and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle collided head-on with a tree on the south side of the street. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were four children in the van, two females, ages 3 and 9 and two males, ages 7 and 9. All four were transported to Texas Children's Hospital, three of them in critical condition.
The investigation is continuing.
