Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3100 Fairdale Lane
January 13, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 3100 Fairdale Lane about 6:40 p.m. on Saturday (January 11).
The victim, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Arrington and E. Rossow reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address and found the victim lying on the sidewalk. Paramedics pronounced him deceased.
Witnesses reported seeing the victim walking with his son when two unknown Hispanic males approached. One of the suspects produced a firearm and attempted to rob them. The victim refused to surrender his property and was shot by one of the suspects. Both suspects then fled in a silver or tan four-door sedan, driven by a third unidentified Hispanic male.
