Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12300 Almeda Road
January 7, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 12300 Almeda Road about 7:25 a.m. today (January 7).
The identity of the male victim, 72, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer M. Ramos reported:
The victim was walking on the east side of Almeda Road when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model. The driver did not stop to provide medical assistance and fled the scene. The victim died at the scene.
