Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 9202 Rosehaven Drive
February 19, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the assault of a woman that occurred at 9202 Rosehaven Drive about 6:30 p.m. on Sunday (February 16).
The suspect, Brandon Durrell Davis (b/m, 34) is charged with aggravated assault of a family member and violation of a protective order in the 232nd State District Court. A booking photo of Davis is attached to this news release.
The victim, Melissa Ann Davis, 34, sustained a stab wound and was transported to an area hospital.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Le and J. Cimeni reported:
Officers responded to a report of an assault at a convenience store at the above address and found Davis assaulting his wife, Ms. Davis. Suspect Davis fled on foot until officers caught up to him in the 3300 block of Tangerine Street.
Officers then saw suspect Davis cutting his neck with a knife. Officers spoke to Davis and attempted to get him to stop and then deployed a conducted energy device (CED) to subdue him. Davis and his wife were transported to an area hospital in stable condition. Davis was released from the hospital today (Feb. 19) and transported to jail.
