December 21, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal crash at 7800 Westheimer Road about 1:05 a.m. last Friday (December 18).  

The suspect, Nubia Yasmineth Sibrian (w/f, 27), is charged with driving while intoxicated in Harris County Criminal Court #8.  A booking photo of Sibrian is attached to this news release.  

The identity of the female victim, a pedestrian, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Benavidez and Officer G. Anderson reported:  

Sibrian was driving a black Volkswagen Jetta eastbound at the above address and struck the victim, who was crossing the street, not at a crosswalk.  The victim died at the scene. 

Sibrian, who remained at the scene, was determined to be intoxicated and was subsequently charged.
