Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7500 Southwest Freeway
December 7, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7500 Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) about 12:55 p.m. on Sunday (December 6).
The identity of the female victim, 72, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Clark and Officer Song reported:
The driver of a black Dodge Durango was traveling northbound on the Southwest Freeway when he struck the rear of a white Toyota Camry. The Toyota then struck the rear of a black Nissan Rogue before also striking a silver Ford Mustang. The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge did not show signs of intoxication. He was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
