August 25, 2020 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10400 Hillcroft Avenue about 2 p.m. today.  

The identity of the male victim, 62, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer O. Sulaiman reported:  

The victim was driving a silver Toyota Tacoma pickup truck northbound at the above address and following another vehicle when, for unknown reasons, his truck left the roadway and struck a tree in the median.  The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

The individual driving the other vehicle stopped after no longer noticing the truck behind him.  That driver told investigators the victim suffered from various medical issues.

The investigation is continuing.
