August 4, 2020 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man found at 13355 Northborough Drive about 8:15 a.m. on June 10.

Ricky Sharrod Brown (b/m, 47) is charged with murder in the 337th State District Court.  A previous booking photo of Brown is attached to this news release.  

The victim, Derick Andren Randle, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Casso reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased male found at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found the victim lying in a dumpster.  He had sustained a gunshot wounds to the back. 

Further investigation identified the victim as Mr. Randle and it was determined he was shot in the parking lot of his residence at 633 Rushcreek on the night of June 9 and had then been disposed of in a nearby apartment complex at 13355 Northborough.  

Brown, Randle's boyfriend, was identified as the suspect in this case.  On Monday (August 3), Brown was charged for his role in the shooting death of Randle and remains at large.
