Investigation into Stabbing at 12830 Hunting Briar Drive
April 13, 2020 - The stabbing of a male that occurred at 12830 Hunting Briar Drive about 2:10 p.m. on Sunday (April 12) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The victim, Genaro Ventura, 49, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer S. Laird reported:
Ventura and another male live together at a group home at the above address when Ventura began bullying the other male. Ventura spun the handicapped male around in his wheelchair and grabbed him in a threatening manner. The other male felt that his life was threatened and stabbed Ventura once in the neck.
Paramedics transported Ventura to the hospital in critical condition. The male was detained at the scene, questioned and released.
