Investigation into Shooting Incident at 8500 Scott Street
April 7, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman that occurred at 8500 Scott Street about 2:35 p.m. on Monday (April 6).
The victim, Miracle Williams, 18, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer C. Brannen reported:
Ms. Williams was riding in the back seat of a vehicle stopped at a traffic light heading southbound on Scott Street at Bellfort Street. A black, four-door Infinity sedan pulled up on their right side and the front passenger began yelling at the driver of Williams' car. When the light turned green, both vehicles continued south on Scott Street and a black male suspect leaned out of the passenger side window of the Infinity and fired at Williams' car. Williams was struck in the right shoulder and grazed on the side of her head. The driver of Williams' car then drove to the intersection of Reed Road and the South Freeway (State Highway 288) where she was met by officers and paramedics.
