Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 7201 Rittenhouse Village Court

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 7201 Rittenhouse Village Court about 1:10 a.m. today.
The suspect, Harold Lawrence Walton (b/m, 35), is charged with murder in the 174th State District Court. A previous photo of Walton is attached to this news release.
The victim, Marc Alvin Thomas, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Officer B. Rothberg reported:
According to witnesses, Mr. Thomas and the suspect, Walton, were involved in a confrontation inside a residence at the above address that continued into the street. Once outside, Walton shot Thomas, who was unarmed. Walton then fled the scene on foot and remains at large.
