Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9118 Shagbark Drive
November 27, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male at 9118 Shagbark Drive about 1 a.m. today.
The victim is identified as Kenneth Benjamin, Jr., 15.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at a residence at the above address and learned Mr. Benjamin sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. A second male, 15, claimed he was in the same room as Benjamin when Benjamin fatally shot himself.
The investigation is continuing. No charges have been filed at this time. Anyone with additional information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
