Investigation into Aggravated Assault at 8800 Gustine

Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 8800 Gustine about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday (April 30).
The victim, Michel Morris, 19, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective K. Saulsberry reported:
Mr. Morris and two friends were hanging out in front of one of their apartments at the above address. The suspect, who was known to Morris, approached and began talking to his friend. Morris began arguing with the suspect, known as "Low," who then produced a pistol and shot Morris.
The suspect then fled on foot through the apartment complex.
Morris walked to a stairwell near his apartment where a family member, seeing he had been shot, called 9-1-1.
