Investigation into Fatal Shooting of Robbery Suspect at 1303 Greens Parkway
March 27, 2019 - The fatal shooting of a robbery suspect that occurred at 1303 Greens Parkway about 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday (March 26) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The male suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Detective S. Overstreet reported:
A man, 46, had arranged to purchase a video gaming system in an apartment complex parking lot at the above address. When he arrived, the suspect, wearing a mask and armed with a rifle, rushed the man's vehicle and opened the car door in an apparent robbery attempt.
The man, a Concealed Handgun License (CHL) holder, drew his weapon and fired, killing the robbery suspect.
