Investigation into Fatal Crash at 200 North Sam Houston Parkway
March 18, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 200 North Sam Houston Parkway East service road about 9:05 p.m. on Sunday (March 17).
The identity of the male victim, 70, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Benavidez and Officer J. Baker reported:
The victim was driving a silver Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound on the service road of the Sam Houston Parkway when his vehicle went on to the curb, struck an iron fence post and then a tree. The victim was transported to Houston Northwest Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. It is believed he may have suffered a medical episode. There were no other persons nor vehicles involved in this crash.
