Investigation into Fatal Crash at 100 East 8th Street
March 8, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 100 East 8th Street about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday (March 7).
The identity of the male victim, 23, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant S. Linscomb and Officer M. Burton reported:
The victim was pedaling a white bicycle northbound on Heights Boulevard when he was struck by a yellow school bus leaving a stop sign and traveling eastbound on East 8th Street.
Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The female bus driver, 61, was questioned and released with no charges filed at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
