Investigation into Woman Found Deceased at 7206 Yellow Pine Drive
June 11, 2019 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on a woman found unresponsive following a fire at 7206 Yellow Pine Drive about 7 a.m. on Monday (June 10).
The victim, Janice Payne, 58, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Montalvo and D. Nabors reported:
Houston Fire Department paramedics were dispatched to a call at the residence at the above address on reports a woman was having trouble breathing. Paramedics arrived and observed there was a fire at the home and called for a pumper truck to help force entry into the home to get to the caller, Ms. Payne.
Payne was found and taken to an area hospital where she died.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to determine the woman's cause and manner of death.
