Investigation into Shooting at 8701 Manus Street
January 30, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 8701 Manus Street about 8 p.m. on Tuesday (January 29).
The victim, Jordan Castro, 20, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer S. Laird reported:
Mr. Castro and his wife arrived at their home at the above address when a black truck pulled behind their vehicle and waited for Castro to exit. When Castro noticed the truck, he attempted to drive across the street, but the truck pulled from behind and blocked his path. At that time, an unknown suspect fired multiple shots at Castro from the front passenger side of the truck. Castro was struck in the back and shoulder. He was transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital.
At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
