Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4855 West Fuqua
January 2, 2019 - The fatal shooting of a man at 4855 West Fuqua about 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 1) is being referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 50, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The female shooter, 25, was not seriously injured.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Miller and Detective D. Stark reported:
The male attacked his daughter and granddaughter during a drug-induced rage at an apartment at the above address. During the incident, the daughter shot her father. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
After questioning the daughter, investigators consulted with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, which determined the case would be referred to a grand jury.
