Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5600 Burnside
February 26, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5600 Burnside Lane about 6:40 a.m. on Monday.
The victim is identified as Kevin Ellis, 22.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Turner and Detective J. Flores reported:
Mr. Ellis was walking to work near the above address when he was shot by an unknown suspect(s) driving in a light blue 2009 Hyundai Accent, which was later determined to be stolen. One of the suspects placed Ellis in the vehicle before leaving the scene.
Later that day, investigators recovered the vehicle and Ellis' body in a business parking lot in the 11425 Barker Cypress Road.
The suspects are described only as two to three unknown males.
