Investigation into Fatal Crash at 600 Westheimer Road
February 15, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 600 Westheimer Road about 5:15 p.m. on Thursday (February 14).
The identity of the male victim, 42, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer C. Cisneros reported:
The female driver of a silver Audi was traveling westbound on Westheimer and stopped at the intersection of Stanford to make a left turn. The Audi failed to yield the right of way and was struck on the right passenger side by an orange Kawasaki motorcycle traveling eastbound on Westheimer. The operator of the motorcycle (victim) was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Audi, who remained at the scene, was questioned and released, pending further investigation.
