Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 11000 South Gessner
February 13, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 11000 South Gessner about 6:10 p.m. on Monday (February 11).
The victim, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The second victim, 17, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Moss and E. May reported:
Two males had agreed to fight each other at the above address (Marian Park). Both males arrived with a group of supporters. At some point, shots were fired from one group into the opposing group. Both victims were struck. It was learned the male who they were supporting in the fight was not injured.
The suspect(s) fled the scene.
