Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6405 West Bellfort
February 4, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one woman, the wounding of another woman and the apparent suicide of a man at 6405 West Bellfort about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday (February 3).
The deceased woman, 35, and the deceased male, 35, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
A second woman, 58, was transported to an area hospital with gunshot wounds in an unknown condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. MacDonald and T. Jackson reported:
The deceased woman and her common-law husband (suspect) got into an argument. According to the couple's 11-year-old daughter, the suspect produced a firearm and shot his wife and his mother-in-law. The suspect then shot himself.
Neither the 11-year-old daughter nor her younger sister, 5, were injured in the incident. Both were released to the custody of family members.
The investigation is continuing.
